My name is Aaron Blackshear. I am currently a basketball analyst in the Houston Rockets front office. Previously I was the Director of Analytics for the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons, spending 4 years with each team. All content here is in my personal capacity and is in no way affiliated with the Rockets.

Prior to working in basketball I was a health actuary with a primary focus on the individual health insurance market, while also spending some time later in my career wrking on behaviorial health care and ensuring insurance companies were complying with mental health parity laws.

I plan to use this site to write about mental health, addiction, and trauma, with the goal of removing the stigma around talking about these sensitive topics. If I can help even one person find the courage to seek out help I will have succeeded.
